About Me and iCUTit

 

Hi, I’m William Albaugh, and I’m the proud owner of iCUTit, where we make the parts so you can make the magic. My journey to this point has been a blend of passion, experience, and a lifelong dream of staying on the supply side of business.

 

My love for woodworking started 40 years ago as a teenager, learning alongside my grandfather in his workshop. That foundation instilled a love for craftsmanship and precision that has stayed with me ever since. In high school, I discovered my talent for mechanical drawing, with my teacher often using my work to grade other students. Around the same time, I joined my school’s first computer programming team in 1983, working on Apple IIe computers—a defining moment that sparked my fascination with technology.

 

In the early 90s, I started programming CNC machines and dreamed of owning my own someday. That dream took root even further during a conversation with a mold-making shop owner in Akron, Ohio, in 1996. When I asked about their success, they said, “We always stayed on the supply side of business. We don’t make the parts; we make the molds that make the parts.” That idea stuck with me, and I knew one day I’d build something similar.

 

Life took me on a different path for a while. Over the next 30 years, I started and sold seven companies, the largest being Nimble Technologies, a tech company I sold in 2019. My career in professional sales and marketing within the technology sector was rewarding, but the dream of owning my own CNC shop never faded.

 

Now, married 36 years with four children and 14 grandchildren, I’ve come full circle. In 2024, I finally bought my first CNC machine and launched iCUTit, a company that combines my passion for woodworking, my expertise in programming and machining, and my decades of sales and marketing experience.

 

At iCUTit, we focus on staying on the supply side of business. We don’t make the products—you do. We make the parts you need to bring your vision to life, accurately and affordably. With experience working in wood, plastic, and metal, I take pride in helping businesses and individuals stay competitive and profitable by providing reliable, high-quality cutting services.

 

Starting iCUTit feels like getting back to my roots while building on everything I’ve learned. I love partnering with people and companies, helping them succeed, and being a part of their growth story. Whether it’s for a large production run or a small custom project, we’re here to ensure your parts are cut with precision and delivered with care.
